A handcrafted quality futon mattress from Germany. All Futonwerk futon mattresses are handmade in their factory in Germany. The futon mattress is available in a size of your choice.
All parts of the manufacturing process has a focus on environmental sustainability and the cotton used in the mattress is organic. All Futonwerk mattresses are available in organic fabric.
In accordance with the old tradition of robust natural mattresses that our ancestors knew about this futon adds comfort making it exceptionally durable and suited for heavy people, up to a weight of 140 kg per person.

- Futonwerk’s special fleece wool on the surface creates gentle pressure relief for the skin
4000 g / square metre organic cotton - 2000 g / square metre coconut fibres gives you the typical futon firmness but also lets the mattress breathe which enables the perfect bed climate
Because of the mattress weight and greater amount of cotton materials used this futon is recommended in more narrow dimensions.
How a futon is experienced varies by body weight:
50-60 kg: medium soft
80-110 kg: medium firm / optimal
110-140 kg: firm
